Account Executive (Location: United States)

Role Description

We’re looking for an Account Executive who thrives on hunting new business and building lasting partnerships.  You’ll lead the charge on identifying, pitching, and closing new brand partnerships — managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to proposal to contract negotiation. You’ll be expected to think strategically, move quickly, and communicate with marketing executives from global brands. This role is ideal for someone with prior media, agency, or marketing sales experience who wants to sell something that actually moves culture.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for travel to client meetings, conferences, and major sports events.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive new business: Identify, contact, and convert brand prospects across industries including retail, CPG, QSR, apparel, and beauty.

  • Own the full sales funnel: Prospect, schedule demos, lead presentations, build proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with internal strategy, campaign, and creative teams to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.

  • Stay ahead of the market: Monitor brand activity, marketing trends, and the evolving NIL landscape to identify opportunities.

  • Build long-term partnerships: Cultivate relationships with marketing and media decision-makers to drive sustained revenue growth.

  • Contribute to growth strategy: Work closely with Postgame leadership to refine sales messaging, pricing strategy, and go-to-market positioning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in media, influencer, or marketing sales (agency, publisher, or platform experience preferred).

  • A passion for identifying and uncovering new business opportunities

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills — comfortable pitching to VP- and C-level marketing decision-makers.

  • Excellent negotiation and proposal development skills.

  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple deals simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • A genuine interest in sports, culture, and digital media (you don’t have to be a former athlete, but it doesn’t hurt).

Bonus Points For

  • Experience selling influencer or creator campaigns.

  • Relationships with brand-side marketing or media buyers.

  • Background in sports marketing, college pro professional athletics.

  • Experience working in a start-up or agency environment.
