OUR PROCESS

Working with college athletes on an influencer campaign at scale is challenging.  Between AM workouts, classes, practice, travel, games, tutoring, meals... it's a full-time job finding reliable athletes who can produce quality content for your brand in a timely manner.  

Postgame has the technology, the team and most importantly the experience of already having worked with thousands of college athletes to manage a successful campaign from start to finish. Learn more about our process below.

Campaign Steps

PHASE 1:  RECRUITMENT
After discussing your campaign goals (including segmentation of athletes by sport, gender, location, follower size, etc...), we spend up to 3 days recruiting athletes to be considered for your campaign.  We reach out directly to our member athletes through a combination of SMS, Email and Postgame App notifications.
PHASE 2:  SELECTION
After recruitment has completed, we provide the brand with a list of athletes who have opted-in for consideration.  The list is sorted by athlete value - determined in part by our own calculations and past working relationships with the athletes.  During this phase we offer suggestions in order to help maximize the brands' budget. 
PHASE 3: NEGOTIATION
After selections have been made, Postgame begins negotiating payment with each athlete and/or their agent.  Our experience gives us a strong sense of their worth - allowing us to expedite the process with a fair offer - and one that makes the best use of the brands budget.
PHASE 4:  CONTRACT
After the offer has been accepted a contract is generated that includes campaign expectations, payment, content rights, and more.  Contracts can be sent directly to each athletes' compliance offices as well as their agent(s).
PHASE 5:  INSTRUCTION
Once the offer is accepted, Postgame sends extensive campaign instructions to each athlete that includes: 
  • Campaign Kick-Off Video With Overall Objectives
  • Campaign Requirements, Timelines and Expectations
  • Campaign Briefs (Style Guidelines)
  • Sample Content Suggestions
PHASE 6:  THE CAMPAIGN
This is where we earn our stripes!  Busy schedules that include 5AM workouts, class attendance, practice & games, travel, late night tutoring - make executing on a successful campaign with college athletes challenging to say the least.  Postgame makes your life easier by putting our campaign management team and technology into action to ensure everyone involved meets their expectations.
PHASE 7: TRACKING / REPORTING
Postgame tracks all activity (content files, date stamps, etc) - and provides the brand with real-time updates. At the conclusion of the campaign, Postgame quantifies key metrics that are important such as:
  • Total Followers Reached
  • Total Posts
  • Engagement Rates
  • Conversions
  • CPM Rates
  • And More...
PHASE 8:  PAYMENT
Postgame manages payment to all athletes and manages all tax related items (W-9 & 1099-MISC). Lastly, Postgame will refund or credit the brand for any athlete who fails to meet the campaign expectations.
